Cornerstone Award

The Cornerstone Award is given annually to an individual or individuals who have had a significant and long-term impact on enhancing public libraries in South Central Wisconsin and represent the values and mission of the South Central Library System Foundation.

The 2017 Cornerstone Award Reception will be held Thursday, November 2, 2017, at the 5100 Bar & Grill in McFarland. This year's award recipient is Larry J. Martin (left), the former executive director of the Wisconsin Library Association and someone instrumental in the creation of the SCLS Foundation. Martin currently serves as the Executive Director of the Wisconsin Bar Association.

In 2016 we again presented three special library awards: the "Super Awesome Library Award" presented to Rio Community Library; the "Program Wizard Award presented to Verona Public Library, and the "Giddy Up Partner Award" presented to Baraboo Public Library.
