The Cornerstone Award is given annually to an individual or individuals who have had a significant and long-term impact on enhancing public libraries in South Central Wisconsin and represent the values and mission of the South Central Library System Foundation.

SCLS Foundation's Cornerstone Event is its premier fundraising celebration. Through The Campaign to Enhance Public Libraries, the SCLS Foundation raises funds to support its 54 member libraries located across seven counties. With past support, the SCLS Foundation has been able to support the digitization of historical material for public use, acquire video equipment to record virtual programs that can be viewed over and over, and purchase downloadable books, magazines, and videos for everyone to relish.

The SCLS Foundation is happy to announce that the 2024 Cornerstone Award recipient is Jaime Healy-Plotkin.

This year's event will be held on October 3, 2024. Additional details about the event will be announced as they become available.
